PLDC - The Iranian national team head coach told reporters yesterday that he has enough knowledge of all the opponents in the group stage and that all his men are fit and ready to face the opposition. Branko told reporters after the last training session before flying to China: "There are no week teams among the 16 countries participating, and we are not going to underestimated any opponent." Regarding the other teams in group D he said: "We have studies all the other three teams and we will take each game one at a time, currently we are focused on Thailand and after that we will concentrate on Oman and Japan games." Branko also commented on Vaezi and Madanchi's cut from the final list and said: "These two players were as ready as the rest of the players but we can only take 22 players with us and based on our needs we had to leave these two players behind." He continued by saying: "Regarding the offer I had from Croatia, I told the Croatian officials that since I have a contract with the Iranian national team, they should take my name off their list of candidates for the coaching the Croatian national team." At the end, he mentioned that the camp in Germany was very useful and that the opponents the team faced in Germany were good teams. |
